HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to MorrowForge 2.0 and to 2026! I'm going to be completely honest and candid with you. This new era of MorrowForge, including the rebrand, the updated site, and new output is a vast departure from what I intended to do with MorrowForge originally. The reason for that is primarily as my situation has changed in the last year. I now, after ten months of searching, have found full time employment, which means that I cannot dedicate the same amount of time to MorrowForge as I once did.
Legally, there have been some big changes to MorrowForge. When it started, it was as a Limited Company, as I planned to sell magazines, novels, and audio dramas. I am currently in the process of dissolving the company, however I still want MorrowForge to be focused on great narratives, stories, and the art of storytelling.
So, what is MorrowForge 2.0 going to look like? This part is purposefully going to be vague as I don't want to commit to anything that's unsustainable or unrealistic. Personally, 2026 is going to be my "Year of Intentionality", and that will carry forward to MorrowForge. Unless something drastic happens, it's unlikely I'll be able to continue writing, performing, and producing podcasts this year. I genuinely loved what I did on "Mage With A Mic", and all released episodes are still available to listen to on YouTube. Instead, MorrowForge is going to be where I publish short stories, discuss any longer works I'm working on, and be a home for something entirely new— book reviews.
To be a great writer, you need to be an avid reader, there's no two ways about it. I am currently reading an absolute tome of a book, "Tom's Crossing" by Mark Z. Danielewski. I'm currently at the halfway mark (around 600 pages in), and would love to discuss my feelings once I have finished this story. As mentioned, everything I do this year will be intentional. I will not post for the sake of posting. I will not rush anything to meet an arbitrary deadline. I can't promise when content will come out, but I can promise that content will be released throughout the year. I already have a few ideas for short stories that I'd love to write, as well as an exciting concept for a potential novella.
The only social media I'm going to publish updates to is Instagram, as I am having a cull of social platforms as part of my Year of Intentionality. You can find me here.
Here's to an amazing 2026 filled with great stories!
